Well what a run I'm having. Honestly I've hit middle age like a missile expedited by my medically induced menopause. My bones are as brittle as glass (oh by the way you have to try Haagen Daz Pralines and Cream. Divine) and I'm as tired now as
when I had a newborn baby. My sex life is all but dried up due to being all dried up. Sorry.
Last week I had to go to A and E with the most terrible pain shooting from my left thumb base all up my arm. I felt like a complete fraud when the long awaited
X-Ray revealed nothing. The doctor said it's either RSI or tendonitis and sent me on my way with strong painkillers and a splint.
3 days later I'm tidying the big bedroom and stubbed my toe at full pelt on the castor of the bed. All my right foot went
forward apart from my little toe which got bent backwards and off to the side. Well let me tell you I've had 2 kids, a mastectomy and gruelling chemotherapy but this pain trumped the lot. Cue much hopping round the room screaming expletives whilst belting
out "chitty bang bang" at full whack (don't ask me why I do that). It was with much pain and trepidation that I removed my sock to assess the damage and part of me honestly thought my little toe would remain in the sock completely severed from the rest of
the foot. Obviously that didn't happen but there was instant swelling. There was no way I was going back to A and E so I am currently hobbling around with a homemade splint on my toe wincing with every step.
Roll on Tuesday...at least the anesthetic
will stop me feeling any pain....
